So I went to see Pearl Jam on Monday (August 17th 09) in Manchester, it was incredible. I'm finding it hard to find words to describe the experience. I've seen Pearl Jam before in 06 at Leeds Festival, so i've had the festival experience and arena experience, I think Manchester was better, purelly becasue i could sit there and enjoy it without getting stood on a 8983597647times i'm only little n all. Pearl Jam have been one of my favourite for such a long time, I guess since i developed my own taste in music instead of what everyone at school was playing, i guess its probably also down to my brothers and dad obviously not being a bad thing.
I started to get quite emotional seeing them, especially when playing Even Flow/Black and Alive the whole audience communicating, singing together i had my brothers hugging me during these songs, i cant describe, but you dont get that vibe/atmosphere from seeing Digitalism/Simian Mobile Disco/Crookers, but i guess i shouldnt even be comparing crookers to pearl jam, completely different genres n all. To be honest I actually have no idea how long they were on for, possibley over 2 hrs? Doors opened at 6pm support on a 7:30pm finished around 11:10pm, i didnt want it to end and they played every song i wanted them to play, (for the exception of Brain of J. but lets not moan)
Reading back on some of this my spelling/english in terrible oh well.
On the topic of music, currently listening to Temporary Pleasure; Simian Mobile Disco, so far so good lets give it a few weeks, bit gutted there not coming to Leeds Fest but I've seen them a few times but would have been nice to see them play some new stuff. With Leeds Fest there's not many bands i want to see, everyone on the Line up ive seen before so nothing overally excites me, Probably looking forward to MSTRKFT the most, but i'll be with the best company so i could really ask for much more, 8 days away now :)
