Its gone 2am and like most people my age there either in bed catching up with this morning's loose women//Big Brother Live or are out getting rather merry. Me; i'm sat at my dusty laptop listening to Shy Child and Pete Burns getting excited over new artists i'vee discovered. I still find it slightly funny how i'm actually doing more work and becoming more motivated to do work when i'm not at uni then when i am... my english grammer is terrible.

Ive recently found another blog which i'm going to start following called Ice Cream People.

As soon as i read this it reminded me of my design work last year, i had to design a booklet inspired by a band i chose Crystal Castles, the booklet could contain anything which we wanted my main focus was the photos of Alice with a photoshopped Ice Cream cone on her head, and Ethan with some form of dessert photoshopped on his head. Simple images yet highly effective.

The work displayed on the Ice Cream People's blog varies from photography,paint,illusrations,graphic design,lots and lots of print 3d crafts. These are all areas which i am highly interested in.

Recently i've been doing illustrations in my sketch book over whats been whizzing round my little head over summer, mostly love related. To me whether your in love or fallen out of love, love is a beautiful thing to display whatever media. (without sounding like a right sissy or whatever people say these days.. im really not down with the lingo) In some ways i now want to move onto that and create story boards of my illustrations, work on a bigger scale and start deisgning some screen prints.

Fine Art

You always get some idiot that say's to me "your work isnt very fine arty" (obviously someone with poor grammer and english)

Throughout GCSE and A levels i always believed there were certain rules within fine art that you had to stick to, after 4 years in school/sixth form and 2 years in univeristy, i'm finally doing what i've always enjoyed doing.

School was a load of bullshit.

• Money! - Debt, no job, rent in august, leeds fest, billsbillsbills
• New House - last year in lincoln, aiming for yet another transfer
• Love Life - really can not be bothered with more drama (yet i seem to attract it)
• BOREDOM! is it really the mother of creativity?
• 25th July - Corp/sheffield/buckcherry, so frigging excited looking at staying whole weekend, i bloody miss that place.
• Emotions, thoughts and feelings? - I really don't know anymore.

Reliving my youth

The next chapter is my youth.

Inspired by last nights events; me and Tommy drinking frosty in the Usher Gardens, standing under a tree with plastic bags on our heads, peeing behind a tree and listening to the Smiths.

I think it was quite possibley the most fun i've had in a long while.

Motivation

Its stupid how much motivation i have right now, i have more motivation now then the 2 years i have been at uni. Ive been getting ideas onto paper and now i just want to make the magic happen. im going to draw and draw and draw until my biro runs out, and then i might just buy a new one.

I've also been sorting my my online accounts changing from the faithful "sugartits" to plan and simple TashaHall.

Just like me, except not so plain, and certainly not so simple.
